Former Oakland Raiders linebacker Sio Moore has found a new home to start the 2015 NFL Season with the Indianapolis Colts

Third-year NFL outside linebacker Sio Moore will now be playing for a new organization in 2015, as his former employer, the Oakland Raiders, have traded him to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

Moore spent his first two NFL seasons playing in Oakland for a team that has not made the AFC Playoffs since 2002’s Super Bowl run. Moore was supposedly part of the LB corps that included 2014 first-round pick OLB Khalil Mack that was on the brink of turning this team around.

With young exciting players like Mack, QB David Carr and rookie WR Amari Cooper, there seems like there is great deal of optimism surrounding the future of the Oakland Raiders’ roster.  Moore expressed his emotions of his departure to Indy on his Twitter account.

While Sio Moore will miss being part of new Oakland HC Jack Del Rio’s culture change by the Bay, he will have to change his Twitter handle to something more Indy centric now that he’s playing for the Colts.

Sio Moore’s new employer is the hands-down favorite to three-peat as AFC South Champs and get back to the AFC Championship Game.  Perhaps the former UConn Huskie, his 7.5 sacks and 105 career tackles over two seasons can help get the Colts back to the AFC Championship Game in 2016 and into the Super Bowl.

While Moore might feel sad about leaving his first NFL team, here’s to a new start with the title contending Indianapolis Colts.  Could Sio Moore be one of the pieces that ultimately gets Indianapolis over the top this fall?
