Wisconsin RB Corey Clement out 4-6 weeks following hernia surgery

Wisconsin Badgers running back Corey Clement will miss a significant amount of time following sports hernia surgery
The Wisconsin Badgers announced some news on Thursday that could be quite detrimental to their season. Star running back Corey Clement needs sports hernia surgery and could be out anywhere from 4-6 weeks.
This is devastating news for the Badgers, especially seeing all that was expected from the junior coming into the season. Nearly rushing for 1,000 yards last season and with Melvin Gordon gone, Clement was expected to cement himself as the next great Wisconsin back and one of the best in college football. However, things have not gone that way at all.
Clement did make an appearance in the opening game against Alabama, however, his output was not all that good. He rushed eight times for just 16 yards, leading some to speculate that something was wrong. He has not played for Wisconsin since, and now we know why.
With the Big Ten season coming up for this team, this is obviously not the news they wanted on this Thursday. Yet, all they can hope for now is that they can somehow navigate through the Big Ten season without him and then get things back on track when he does make is return.
