Could Robert Griffin III be the difference-maker the Cleveland Browns need?

Robert Griffin III needs a team, and the Cleveland Browns could use a more reliable, long-term quarterback situation. Are Robert Griffin III and the New York Jets a perfect match?

Last week, the Robert Griffin III visited the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. While Browns head coach Hue Jackson seemed enamored of the former Washington Redskins quarterback after the visit, the Jets played it cool, claiming they are holding out hope for a reasonable deal with current quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Robert Griffin III was the Washington Redskins first-round pick in the 2012 draft. Initially a media darling, Griffin was heralded as the Redskins savior. Then, it was impossible to imagine just how far he would fall and just how dysfunctional his relationship with the Washington Redskins would become.

Now a free agent, Robert Griffin III needs a home, and the Jets need a quarterback. The Jets are showing little overt interest in RGIII, claiming instead they want to work out a deal with Ryan Fitzpatrick, who led the team to a 10-6 season, but no postseason play. Meanwhile, the Browns are in dire straights when it comes to finding the future of the franchise.
