Jose Bautista gives props to Rougned Odor for punch, calls out Rangers (Video)

Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista gave props to Rangers second baseman for his punch after a huge brawl. 

The Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays still hate each other quite a bit. That hatred blew up during their last matchup of the season as Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista slid in hard to second base. Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor took offense to it and shoved Bautista and the two then got into a brawl that involved Bautista getting punched in the face. After the game, Bautista chastised the Rangers for their actions but gave some props to Odor for the right hook.

Bautista showed a lot of frustration that the Rangers waited until the last meeting between the two teams before taking offense with them. On one hand, Bautista’s slide into second base was incredibly late and uncalled for. On the other hand, did it really warrant a punch to the face?

Expect both sides to see some suspensions, with Odor likely being hit the hardest. Bautista and Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar will likely be suspended as well. Pillar was an active participant in the brawl that ensued.
