Most of the top free agents in the NBA have signed contracts and have found new homes for next season. With teams having signed players and adding to their depth, the trade market could see some movement now, as teams trade from excess depth in one area, to add more depth in another area.

On Friday, ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that the Sacramento Kings were making Rudy Gay, Ben McLemore and Kosta Koufos available for trade.

While that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone as the Kings continue to transform their roster, each of those players could end up being on the move.

While each might be wanted for a different reason, the top prize here is Gay. He’s a perfect wing that can play a bit of a stretch role and has the length to guard the taller forwards in this league.

He also has a bit of a touch on his shot and could provide yet another shooting option for a team in need. His $13 million contract isn’t as much of a hurdle with the rising salary cap and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a team make a run after him, with the options in free agency being slim now.

With Gay being on the trading block, here are five trade destinations that make a ton of sense for him.
