After Michigan State got waxed by Wisconsin at home, head coach Mark Dantonio pulled a Stranger Things by disappearing into thin air.

Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio has been known to do the impossible. He’s finished with an 11-win season five of the past six years, normally against all odds. When he played Michigan last year, he pulled out a win seemingly out of nowhere en route to winning the Big Ten Championship. And he’s been able to convince most people that he’s Mike D’antoni.

Vanishing into thin air appears to be Dantonio’s latest trick. While he was watching Michigan State get blown out by Wisconsin at home, he disappeared out of nowhere which was his way of avoiding media scrutiny. Or perhaps Wisconsin’s win was so decisive that they were able to banish Mark Dantonio to another dimension:

Either way, he couldn’t stand to watch his Spartans lose any longer. And if one thing’s for sure, the first thing he did after this game was start planning for Indiana. He’s very much like Bill Belichick in that regard.

After a loss like this, it’s possible that Michigan State’s Big Ten defense is already over. Having played one less game than Michigan and Ohio State, they needed to beat Wisconsin to at least catch up to them. But having started 0-1 in the Big Ten, they face a tough road ahead.

But if there’s anything we’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that you must never count out Mark Dantonio. Michigan State always manages to win when we least expect it, just ask Blake O’Neill. And when you have a coach who can seemingly bend the laws of physics, you know you’re in good hands. While this loss will sting for Michigan State and their fans, for now, it’s on to Indiana.
