Cardinals at Bills: Highlights, score, and recap
By Matt Kerns
After being counted out all week, the buffalo Bills found a way to beat the Arizona Cardinals in convincing fashion.
A win on Sunday keeps Ryan secure for at least one more week. I wasn’t a fan of the firing of offensive coordinator Greg Roman, but the offense matched last week’s performance against the Jets.
This was classic Rex Ryan football, if you know what I mean. With over 200 yards on the ground (2?? to be exact) the Cardinals offense was kept off the field early, and even when they were on it, didn’t do a whole lot.
A bounce back performance by the Bills secondary went a long way in this Bills upset. Win of the week? Maybe. Ryan had his team ready to play, Bruce Arians did not. But look, it’s never easy for a west coast team to fly across the country and win. However, this was a game that the Cardinals (who were Super Bowl picks by many) should have won. They’re now 1-2. Is it the end of the world? No. But it sure hurts. Let’s get to highlights and performers of the game.
Highlights
24 yard TD for McCoy.
You’ll be damned to find a better pick than this one.

Aaron Williams had this fumble recovery for 53 yards.
Three Stars
1-LeSean McCoy
How about Big Shady. In his best game as a Buffalo Bill, McCoy ate up the Cardinals defensive line as they Bills ate up the clock. The power runs that didn’t work early this year, worked in this game. McCoy kept engines going and ran north-south to plow through Arizona. This was McCoy’s first game over 100 yards this season, and first over 60 yards. He had two touchdowns, 17 carries and 110 yards averaging 6.5 YPC.
2-Tyrod Taylor’s LEGS
Tyrod Taylor didn’t do much with his arm, but his legs sure got the job done. Taylor ran the ball seven times for 79 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 11.3 YPC. The Cardinals defense couldn’t stop either Taylor or McCoy on the ground today, a big reason why the Bills were so dominant today.
3-Buffalo Bills Defense
What can I say? After giving up 37 points and 493 total yards last week, the Bills defense got things settled under their feet. Despite Buffalo being outgained in yards and Arizona the leader in time of possession, Buffalo halted Arizona drives early in the game to keep them from getting off to an early lead.
