Before Lamar Jackson and Louisville takes on Deshaun Watson and Clemson on Saturday, here are our ACC Power Rankings after four weeks.

With one month in the books, the ACC pretty much looks the way that many people thought it would. The Atlantic Division is still a three-team race – though many would have thought it would be the Louisville Cardinals with an early loss and not the Florida State Seminoles to go along with unbeaten Clemson.

At the same time, the Coastal Division still seems to be a race where almost everyone is still in the running – well, except for Virginia, but more on that soon.

Here’s a look at our power rankings following week four’s action.

Yeah, I’ve heard the expression that a win is a win no matter what. That might be the case in other sports, but when your win is over a lower classification, we lower you here as well so get used to it.

Jokes aside, the Eagles are proving to not be much of a good football team. Even in a game where they could have padded stats against Wagner, quarterback Patrick Towles – who was supposed to be the answer when he transferred into the program – threw for just 157 yards total.

You could easily see that this is a team who could end up being 2-10 really quickly if things don’t turn around.

For the first three weeks, I have gone out of my way to make fun of the Wahoos – when you lose to FCS teams or lose thanks to not being able to line up for a field goal, that’s what will take place with these rankings.

But, wouldn’t you know? Virginia went out this weekend and actually beat a decent team to get their first win of the 2016 season. The Cavaliers were in control for much of the game against Central Michigan and were able to hold on for the victory – something that may carry momentum the rest of the way.

Last week, the Yellow Jackets were one of the teams I said you needed to watch out for in the ACC Coastal. I said they were a team that could give Clemson quite the game, possibly even coming out with the upset victory.

See, what had happened was…

The offense from Atlanta was able to get just 124 yards in the entire game. Not just a quarter, not just a half…the whole darn game! At the same point, the defense gave up over 440 yards to the Tigers. Yes, Clemson is a much better team – but Georgia Tech laid down in this one and got worked.

Head coach Dino Babers has quite the up and down run during his first season as the head coach in Western New York. After an opening game win and two bad losses, they were able to get things together in time to finish the first month of 2015 with a  .500 record.

The highlight for the Orange has to be the play of quarterback Eric Dungey. He had another big game this weekend against the Huskies, going for over 400 yards with two touchdowns. If Syracuse is going to do much this year, the arm of Dungey is going to be the key.

There are going to be people in the capital city of Raleigh who is wondering how you can drop three spots without playing a down. My simple answer would be: sorry?

The Wolfpack needed the week off because their next six weeks are going to be the definition of brutal. Games on the schedule over the next month and change include all three of the Atlantic Division powers (Louisville, Clemson and FSU) as well as hosting Notre Dame – who even at 1-3 is still a good team that can win that game.
