Ohio State Buckeyes running back Mike Weber, Jr. gets into the Rutgers Scarlets Knights end zone on a dominating 46-yard touchdown run in a blowout.

The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes are having their way the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday. Ohio State is crushing Rutgers, 44-0 at home in Week 5.

Already up 30-0 on Rutgers early in the third quarter, Buckeyes running back Mike Weber, Jr. rushes into the Scarlet Knights end zone on an impressive 46-yard touchdown scamper. The successful point after attempt made it 37-0 Buckeyes.

Ohio State has the look of a National Championship contender. The Buckeyes might be young with so many players going to the NFL, but Urban Meyer is one outstanding football coach. He’s getting very little production from his senior class. The Buckeyes underclassmen are doing the heavy lifting this season.

While Rutgers was a welcomed addition to the Big Ten for media market purposes, it had no shot against Ohio State. Rutgers is notoriously one of the weaker Division I football programs in the sport’s history. Joining the Big Ten East with teams like Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State makes wins nearly impossible.

For Ohio State, if the Buckeyes can knock off Michigan and Michigan State, they might be the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. This team has the makings of a No. 1 national seed in the National Semifinals tournament.

Meyer continues to prove he is the best in-game tactician in college football. It will be very difficult for anybody to beat the Buckeyes this season. A team will have to bring its A+ game to have any shot at upsetting Ohio State this fall. The Buckeyes can very well go an undefeated 15-0 this year.
