The Oregon Ducks aren’t going to look like ducks this week. Here is what the Oregon football team will be wearing against Washington State on Saturday.

The Oregon Ducks have decided dressing like actual ducks isn’t great for winning Pac-12 football games at home. They lost to the Colorado Buffaloes last Saturday with orange cleats and socks to really look like their mascot.

This week, Mark Helfrich’s team will wear something a bit more conservative for Oregon standards this Saturday. Here are the uniforms that the Ducks will wear in the Week 5 Pac-12 road game against the Washington State Cougars:

They will be wearing a white road jersey with green numbers and a bright yellow border. The helmet will be entirely green, cage included, with the Oregon Duck mascot emblazoned on the sides. The pants and socks will be Oregon green. The cleats are white with green swirls about them.

The Ducks are choosing to wear a relatively conservative uniform style against Washington State. Oregon is only 2-2 on the year with losses to the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Pac-12’s Buffaloes in consecutive weeks.

Washington State may have lost its first two games of the season, but the Cougars are always a dangerous team at Pullman. With the Washington Huskies clobbering the Stanford Cardinal in Seattle on Friday night, Oregon cannot afford another slip-up in Pac-12 play.

Washington is the favorite to win the Pac-12 North. Oregon can still upset the Huskies, but will have to beat the Cougars in Pullman to have any shot at playing for the Pac-12 Championship Game. Have we seen a change of guard in the Pac-12 North or is Oregon still a perennial contender in that Power 5 division?
