Full match results and live tracker for all of the action at WWE No Mercy 2016
WWE SmackDown LIVE already has one brand-specific pay-per-view in the books. Now they’re back for Round 2. On Sunday, Oct. 9, WWE No Mercy is set to take center stage in Sacramento, CA inside the Golden 1 Center. And if the card lives up to the hype that’s been building for this PPV, it’s going to blow Backlash and most shows out of the water.

The main event alone is somewhat of a dream match. WWE Champion AJ Styles will be putting his title on the line in a triple threat match. John Cena and Dean Ambrose will compete to try and get the title from “The Face That Runs the Place.” What’s fantastic about this is that SmackDown has built this match wonderfully. All three men are over enough with the crowd that you can imagine each getting cheered for a win. That’s something special.
Also special is the Title vs Career match between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler as the former puts his Intercontinental Championship on the line. Meanwhile, Ziggler will leave WWE if he loses this match. There is so much tension and fire in both of these guys right now that this match should be fantastic.
Unfortunately, it appears that Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss will no longer be happening due to an injury for Becky. Even still, there is Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton, Baron Corbin vs Jack Swagger, and Carmella vs Nikki Bella that can all help pick up the slack. Moreover, Heath Slater and Rhyno defend the tag titles against The Usos while Curt Hawkins debuts against a mystery opponent.

There were so many incredible matches on this show. The crowd in Sacramento was absolutely on fire from the start and stayed hot throughout. They and everyone at home ate up a creatively and well booked “main event” to start the show. Moreover, Dolph Ziggler had everyone eating out of the palm of his hand as he saved his career.
It feels safe to say that SmackDown feels like it’s a step ahead of RAW right now. Perhaps that has to do with the two-hour show, but the contrast is quite clear. It’s going to take something big for the Monday show to start catching up.
