Sunday night’s WWE No Mercy 2016 results for the Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt match in Sacramento, California.

At the WWE No Mercy 2016 pay-per-view, Randy Orton will finally go one-on-one in the ring with his latest foe, Bray Wyatt. For weeks, “The Viper” has been trying to get his hands on “The Eater of Worlds.” The two had an anticipated match at the 2016 Backlash event, but Wyatt attacked Orton backstage. That led to Wyatt having to face Kane, with Orton still coming out to play a part in the match.

The two continued feuding on the SmackDown show for several weeks in promos from the ring and backstage. In one segment, Wyatt was hiding out somewhere backstage, as Orton went looking for him. In a more recent segment, Wyatt was in the ring to face Kane again as Orton spoke to him from the big screen. After Orton had finished, Kane was ready to attack, but Wyatt fled the ring and was counted out.

Sunday’s No Mercy pay-per-view would feature Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt in the ring against one another in the main event. Wyatt made his entrance first with all of the fireflies in the audience lighting the way along with his lantern. “The Viper” came out next to a lot of cheers in his favor as well as “R-K-O” chants from the crowd.

Wyatt grabbed an early advantage, punching away on Orton. However, Randy fired right back with punches of his own until Wyatt dropped him with an uppercut. Moments later, Orton knocked down his opponent and began to stomp on various body parts to inflict early damage and stay in control.

Orton tried for a draping DDT in the ring and then an RKO on the outside, but Wyatt avoided both of the early attempts. The “Eater of Worlds” ripped apart the ring steps and placed one close to the announcers’ table but Orton blasted him down with a clothesline.

Later, Wyatt had control in the ring and did his upside down taunt on the apron. He and Orton battled a bit there before Wyatt leveled him and had a near fall in the ring. Moments later, he went for a big Cannonball splash off the corner but took too much time and The Viper rolled out of harm’s way.

The same thing hurt Bray on the outside of the ring as well. He placed Orton on the ring steps he had put at ringside and went for a Cannonball. Once again, Randy moved away and Wyatt landed hard on his back on the steps. From there, The Viper attacked his prey, bouncing him face first off the announcers’ table and then against the crowd barrier.

Back in the ring, Orton connected on the DDT and then set up for the RKO. He began to pound the ring mat, but suddenly the Wyatt Family sound effect hit. The lights went out momentarily. Once they returned, Luke Harper was standing in the ring staring at Orton. The Viper was distracted by his return to the ring and turned right around into Bray Wyatt who hit him with Sister Abigail.

That move gave Wyatt the definitive pinfall for the win. After the match, Luke Harper helped him up and the family members hugged with Orton gathering himself in the ring.

Orton and Wyatt’s match served as the main event of SmackDown’s latest pay-per-view. The Luke Harper return may not have been the biggest surprise of the night, as many fans were expecting Dolph Ziggler might lose in his match with The Miz. However, Dolph prevailed and won the Intercontinental title. An even bigger surprise was the fact WWE made the Triple Threat match first in the order of matches for the card. When all was said and done, it probably left a lot of fans wondering what was going on with this show.

As for Randy Orton, expect The Viper to be furious when he hits the ring for SmackDown this week. It won’t be surprising to see him call out Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper to the ring for another confrontation with the Wyatts!
