The Atlanta Falcons will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon in Week 8. Here are all the highlights, the game recap, and the final score.

The NFC Game of the Week on FOX will be played in Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. The Atlanta Falcons will host the Green Bay Packers for what should be one of the better games on the Sunday slate. Kickoff from the Georgia Dome will be at 4:25 PM ET.

Green Bay is 4-2 on the year, but have not looked like a championship caliber team. The Packers have beaten the teams they should, but have struggled against elite NFC teams like the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings. Atlanta isn’t quite on the Cowboys or Vikings’ level, but do have one of the best passing attacks in the NFL.

Atlanta has lost two straight to the Seattle Seahawks and the San Diego Chargers to fall to 4-3 on the season. The Falcons lead the NFC South, but need a big win on Sunday to keep the Tampa Bay Buccaneers firmly in second place.

Green Bay is a little banged up entering this game with injuries in the backfield and in the secondary. However, the Packers have had 10 days to get ready for this game after beating the Chicago Bear on Thursday Night Football in Week 7.

Atlanta will be without running back Tevin Coleman in this one. Other than that, the Falcons look in pretty good shape. Expect a ton of Packers fans in Atlanta, as Cheesehead Nation always travels well and has fans in every major metropolis. This game should be outstanding.

Three Stars

1. Julio Jones: The Packers will be without three key defensive backs in this game. Green Bay isn’t great at stopping the vertical route anyway. Look for Jones to have a monster day with 10 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown.

2. Matt Ryan: Ryan continues to play like one of the better quarterbacks in football this season. Look for him to completed 65% of his passes for 310 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.

3. Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers doesn’t have a ton of great offensive weapons, but Atlanta’s defense isn’t anything special. He’ll be the best player for the Packers on Sunday. Look for Rodgers to complete 61% of his passes for 275 yards and two touchdown passes.
