Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol caught a lob and put a shot in at the buzzer to defeat the Denver Nuggets.

While America had election fever on Tuesday night, the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets played a classic in the NBA. The two teams battled to the wire and it took a shot at the end to give the Grizzlies the edge, courtesy of Marc Gasol.

As the Nuggets held a one-point lead with 0.7 seconds left on the clock it looked like the Nuggets were going to hold onto the win. With Vince Carter on the inbound, he needed to find the perfect man to make the shot. There isn’t much time to get set in these situations, so it all came down to a lob. That’s when Carter found Gasol right in front of the hoop with an open look.

Gasol was able to put the shot down and everyone in Memphis lost their minds as he made the shot. His teammates swarmed the court and jumped on their team’s superstar for the shot. Gasol had the clear size advantage down low and it was a great look.

For a big man, it was impressive the balance he was able to display as he put up the shot. There’s not many as good as him down in the paint and he was able to get it even though he got knocked backwards. It was a great pass, but an even better shot that helped set up the win in Memphis on Tuesday night.
