We wanted chaos and for weeks it never came and finally in the season’s 11th week it did and it was glorious.

From Clemson, SC to Seattle, Washington to Iowa City, Iowa the college football landscape was rattled just enough to make things interesting. Now, with just a few weeks before the end of the season, the jockeying for position atop the FanSided Top 25 rankings is more furious than ever.

Nebraska had struggled over the last few weeks, suffering losses to Wisconsin and Ohio State which knocked them out of the FanSided 25 poll but now they’re back after a rebound win vs. Minnesota on Saturday. With slim hopes in the Big Ten West still remaining, Nebraska will face Maryland and Iowa to finish  the season. If Nebraska can win those two games, a 10-2 Nebraska should be considered as an at-large for the New Year’s Six.

Remember Houston?

The team that beat Oklahoma and appeared to have an easy road to the New Year’s Six? Yeah, things haven’t gone so well since then but the Cougars have a chance still at an at-large bid. They just need some help. One thing that will help them is a win against Louisville this week at home. While Greg Ward Jr’s season hasn’t been what most of us thought it would be, it’s quite possible that he could out-duel Louisville’s Lamar Jackson and throw the Heisman race into a tizzy.
