Like Houston, San Diego State is a group of five team that still has small hopes to reach the New Year’s Six. Over the next few weeks, the Aztecs have a few tough tests as they will take a trip to Wyoming and then a feisty Colorado State team. If they win those two contests then a showdown with Boise State is most likely in the offing. A winner of that game combined with a slip up from Western Michigan will be headed for the New Year’s Six and most likely the Cotton Bowl. Every game is important from here on out for the Aztecs.

At the beginning of Week 11, North Carolina appeared to be out of the ACC Coastal race with their loss to Duke. Now as of Monday morning, they’re right back in it. North Carolina’s set back this past weekend vs. Duke isn’t too surprising because the Blue Devils are much better than their record indicated. From here, North Carolina faces The Citadel and North Carolina State, two games UNC should win but I also said that about UNC facing Duke last week.
