Mourning Mike Conley (and other melodramas)

facebooktwitterreddit

In one fell dramatic swoop, Mike Conley cracked his back and the Memphis Grizzlies lost their conductor and most of their high hopes for this season. It was swift and shocking twist, unlike anything you might find on a certain prestige HBO series.* But does any of the onus for the injury fall on us for our recent post on fantasy basketball where we specifically asked what the rest of the year could hold for Conley? Or that time we boasted about not jinxing the Grizzlies? If only it was just a bad, hazy dream that we could wake from. The player piano would fire up again and we’d all be no worse for wear.
