If you didn’t purchase The Last Guardian at launch, you may want to get it now at a lower price.

Despite its heavy criticism, The Last Guardian is a game that deserves to be played. At launch, it was shredded by some reviewers because of its controls and other aspects of gameplay. Fortunately for potential consumers, the game got a significant price drop.

According to Polygon, The Last Guardian got a 33 percent price cut. Instead of $60, you can now purchase it for $40 and various retailers, like Amazon and GameStop.

As stated before, this game isn’t as bad as what people make it out to be. Yes, it can be very annoying and the controls are extremely frustrating. But, it does tell a story that’s worth experiencing and the world is a fun one to explore.

Let’s cut to the chase, though. The game is a disappointment, no question. For as long as this game was in the oven being developed, it should have been much better than what it was. For many, it was the most anticipated game of the year.

From the time it was shown off at E3 2007 for the PS3, fans were excited. But, after that, we never heard from it for eight years. We thought the game was cancelled. It was in a strange state of limbo.

Then, finally, we saw a new trailer for the game at E3 2015. It was the same game we remembered, except it had even better visuals and the short gameplay clip looked like a ton of fun.

We still believe The Last Guardian is a fun game. Although we haven’t played it in its entirety, from what we did play, there are many problems. But, at a $40 price point, we recommend everyone to give it a shot and find out for yourself.
