Respawn has released a new trailer showing off gameplay of their upcoming addition to Titanfall 2.

A new wave of information has been released about Titanfall 2‘s new game mode, Live Fire, in the form of a gameplay trailer.

Live Fire is a pilot-only game mode and feels like Titanfall 2’s frenetic take on capture the flag. As Respawn has previously revealed, Live Fire will be a 6v6 elimination where teams are tasked with both taking out opposing pilots and maintaining possession of a flag. Whichever team has the flag after the 60-second round wins. A team takes the match after winning best of five rounds.

Two new maps — Stacks and Meadow — will release alongside Live Fire, specifically designed for the new mode.

In a recent news update, Respawn has announced that another new map is due for release alongside Live Fire. Named Columns, it is a Coliseum map. Respawn will also be adding another Pilot execution and new Commander intros for each faction. More specific details about all of these items are still to come.

Respawn also touched upon the fact that they have been working through some interface changes based on player feedback.

“We agree with much of the feedback that having game modes split between two screens is not an ideal user experience,” Respawn stated on Titanfall 2‘s website. “Our goal is to allow players to create their own ‘mixtapes’ and choose which modes they want to be matched in. Simply select the modes you want and hit play.”

More Titanfall 2 information is still to come about all of these additions and changes, so stay tuned. The Live Fire update is slated for release in February.
