There's Still Time to Buy Low on Derek Carr's MVP Odds

The window to buy low on Derek Carr’s MVP odds is closing fast, but there still is one last chance to get in on the action before Week 4.

Carr has been fantastic this season, building on a strong 2020 season, and he’s seen his MVP odds at WynnBET rise from +7500 to +2000 over the first three weeks of the season.

Even at +2000, Carr still has some serious value considering he’s leading the NFL in passing yardage and has the Las Vegas Raiders off to a 3-0 start before they face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football

Carr shouldn’t be the favorite to win the MVP given the tough division he plays in, but anyone who wins the AFC West should be in the conversation for the award, and that even includes Teddy Bridgewater (+6000).

Now, Bridgewater’s numbers are nowhere near Carr’s, which is why I think Carr is the far better option as a buy-low candidate.

The former second-round pick has the Raiders humming on offense, and while they did take a step back against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, Carr still found a way to lead not one, but two overtime scoring drives to come away with a win

Carr has been the best quarterback in the NFL at throwing the ball down the field, and the Raiders look like a legitimate playoff contender to start this season.

The AFC West is a juggernaut, but if Carr someone leads a Raiders team that was expected to finish last, to a division title, he’s going to earn some serious consideration for MVP.
