Snoop Dogg Says He Was A Pimp; Clients Include Pro Athletes From Denver Nuggets & Broncos?

Rap legend Snoop Dogg, or as he prefers to be called now, “Snoop Lion” (it still pains me to say that), has never hid his love of all things illegal – including being a pimp.

The former Death Row Records recording artist recently sat down with Rolling Stone Magazine and dished on a handful of things, some of which includes his time as a pimp and specifically mentioned both the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos as, uh, clients of his.

From Rolling Stone:

"While he doesn’t name names, he claims professional athletes would use his services. “If I’m in a city where where the Denver Broncos or the Nuggets play, I get a couple of they players to come hang out, pick and choose, and whichever one you like comes with a number,” he says. “A lot of athletes bought kitty from me.”"

I’m not sure if there was a reason that Snoop singled out both the Nuggets and Broncos specifically – certainly a bit odd for the rap great to randomly name them, but it may have just been a coincidence as well.

It’s no shock that these things have went on, though, it is a bit odd that Snoop was the man behind some of it.

On the plus side, at least he wasn’t it in for the money…

"“I’d act like I’d take the money from the bitch, but I’d let her have it,” he says. “It was never about the money; it was about the fascination of being a pimp . . . As a kid I dreamed of being a pimp, I dreamed of having cars and clothes and bitches to match. I said, ‘F it – I’m finna do it.’”"
