Bernard Pierce-Baltimore Ravens

Pierce appears to be in line for a heavy workload today as the Ravens host the Texans in what should be an intriguing contest. The Texans haven’t looked invincible and the World Chaps are just 1-1 after barely beating the Browns. How they fare today will have a lot to do with their running game.

Ray Rice is listed as doubtful for the game and is expected to be a gametime decision. Most reports point to Rice not being able to play today after missing an entire week of practice.

If Rice is unable to play, Pierce looks like he will be ready to carry the load. Last week, he had a touchdown and 57 yards on 19 carries and has shown in the past that he has the play-making ability to provide some fantasy points. The Texans run D is solid, so I don’t expect a monster game from Pierce. I do think he makes a nice flex play and even has some RB2 potential if he steps in for Rice.
