9. Charles Clay-TE-Miami Dolphins (14.1%)

If you’re scouring the wire for a tight end option for the coming week, check out Charles Clay of the surging Dolphins. He didn’t go off this week but finished with a solid four catches and 40 yards on six targets. He’s been heavily targeted by Ryan Tannehill.

In the first two weeks, he had five catches each game and broke 100 yards week two against Indy. He also got a goal line carry against the Colts which he converted for a rushing TD. He does still have some H-back responsibilities, but he’s showcased some solid pass-catching skills and is a good TE2 pickup if you need some depth at the position.

This week the Panthers and Packers hit their byes, so if you need a fill-in for Jermichael Finley or Greg Olsen Clay is probably the best option on your waiver wire. If the Dolphins offense keeps rolling, Clay will continue to produce, and while he may not go off Jimmy-Graham-style I don’t see him killing you either. The Dolphins will need Clay to keep up with the Graham’s Saints on Monday Night Football, so if you need an emergency start, check on his availability.
