6. Ryan Tannehill-QB-Miami Dolphins (9.6%)

Even after Brian Hoyer’s breakout big-time performance for the Browns, I think Tannehill is the QB on most waiver wires that offers the most upside. He has led the Dolphins to a red-hot 3-0 start throwing for four scores and 827 yards. He led Miami in a big comeback to knock off the Falcons last week and this week have the tough task of traveling to New Orleans to face the Saints.

Tannehill has a solid cadre of weapons in Miami with a solid tight end (Charles Clay), a deep threat (Mike Wallace), a solid high-volume option (Brian Hartline), and a solid third reciever option (Brandon Gibson). The run game of the Dolphins still needs some work, but right now that is just giving Tannehill more chances to make plays.

To keep up with Drew Brees and the Saints on Monday Night Football, Tannehill will need another big game. The Saints have been solid against opposing QB’s but did give up 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Matt Ryan week one. If you need a fill-in QB from the waiver wire, I’d take Tannehill over any other option available in over 50% of leagues.
