1. It’s practically a home game for Manning

The Colts (4-2) are a solid team this year, and playing this game at home should give them an advantage, but it won’t. While Lucas Oil Stadium can be incredibly loud, Manning has heard it before–for three seasons. Lucas Oil is practically the house that Peyton built. If it wasn’t for his years of winning football, it’s possible that the Colts would still be playing in the RCA Dome, or even in another city.

Also, the crowd will almost certainly be on Manning’s side. Manning took the high road when he was cut after missing the 2011 season with a neck injury. Nothing Manning has said or done since then have changed that.

Chances are, half the fans in the stadium will be wearing Manning jerseys anyway, especially with the pregame tribute Irsay allegedly has planned for Manning. While the crowd certainly won’t be rooting for the Broncos, they won’t be rooting against Manning either.
