Just when you think you can look past Richard Sherman‘s egotistical, loud mouth ways – he makes sure to bring you a cold dose of reality.

There’s no doubt, Sherman is one of the premier defensive backs in the league. But the best? While completely possible, there are players who could challenge Sherman for the top spot. Two that come to mind are Patrick Peterson and Aqib Talib.

Nothing wrong with being top three, though, unless your Sherman, I guess.

The Seattle Seahawks defensive back was none too pleased when Jim Trotter said that he spoke to three NFL executives who did not suggest Sherman as the top corner in the league, rather picking the aforementioned Patterson and Talib.

Sherman had the following to say:

"@SI_JimTrotter sounds like the same people who passed on me in the draft 😉 won’t be employed long"

The former Stanford product was selected in the fifth round of the 2011 draft, which means at minimum the Seahawks passed on him four times. So, does that mean the Hawks’ executives will be fired too? Or?
