Fantasy Football Waiver Wire 2013: Top 10 Week 10 pickups
3. Andre Ellington-RB-Arizona Cardinals (36.4%)
In the news Ellington owners have been waiting to hear all season, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he wanted to get Ellington more touches. The Cardinals have been extremely careful with Ellington limiting his touches and keeping him in a timeshare in the backfield. He’ll still split carries and catches with Rashard Mendenhall who looks ready to return or Stepfan Taylor and Alfonso Smith if Mendenhall is out.
However, Ellington has shown big-play ability and is a serious threat to take it to the end zone every time he gets the ball. Before the bye which Arizona is coming off of, Ellington had his best game of the season rushing for 154 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons. He’s been over 80 all-purpose yards in three of his last four games and is worth owning in almost every format as long as you’re aware that he won’t get every single carry and catch out of the Arizona backfield.
This week, the Cardinals face the Texans who allow the 19th most fantasy points to opposing RBs but next week he has a tasty matchup with the Jaguars. If he’s available in your league, he’s a great depth option to add although there will be some variation in his totals since he’s sharing the backfield.
