Rationale for “yes.”

He’s yet to throw an interception this postseason and only threw 9 during the regular season (22nd in the NFL). As mentioned earlier, nobody has won more than Wilson in his first two seasons, and there’s something to be said about someone who has helped a city grow accustom to winning. A city’s team that is 293-303 all time.

There are nuances that cannot be assessed by statistics, although Wilson has been sacked an absurd amount, his ability to generate plays make him a Houdini in the pocket. He has the innate ability to wriggle free of linemen and linebackers, a trait that has kept Seattle afloat in situations that appeared dire.

The 25-year-old has thrown just one interception in four career postseason starts, and if he bests arguably the greatest quarterback of all time (who has been in the league 14 years longer than Wilson) in Super Bowl XLVIII, it’ll be hard to refute him as a member of the uppermost echelon of active NFL quarterbacks.
