By now we’ve heard plenty about the air conditioning malfunctioning last night at the AT&T Center during Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat.

At first it was just an annoying thing because it was getting hot in the arena and the fans had to keep fanning themselves with their game programs, and the players had to put ice on their necks to keep cool. Sure, it stinks, but it wasn’t that big of a deal.
But then it kept getting hotter and hotter. Suddenly it was more than just an inconvenience. LeBron James even cramped up so badly that he was unable to move and had to be carried off the court. As he sat out the final few minutes, he watched in agony as the Spurs pulled away to snatch the victory.
Today, we heard that the air conditioning has been fixed and everything should be set to go for Game 2 on Sunday night. Talking to reporters today, Gregg Popovich joked about trying to send the mechanics away.
Pop: "I saw the air conditioning people in the hallway when we were leaving last night ... and I sent them home."

That’s classic Popovich.
He also came to LeBron’s support after he has been unfairly criticized by many.
Pop on LeBron: "Nobody understands the scrutiny he's under, and he's performed pretty damn well."

Just another smart person coming to LeBron’s defense, so maybe if you’re still criticizing the King you should cut your losses now.
