6. Houston Dynamo

Also moving up in this week’s Power Rankings are Dominic Kinnear’s Houston Dynamo. Alex Lopez was the hero for the Dynamo, with a 38th minute goal that sealed a 1-0 victory for Houston over the Laredo Heat in U.S. Open Cup play at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Tex. Up next for the Dynamo is a match with the Montreal Impact at Stade Saputo. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT/7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by MLS LIVE.

Ryan Nelsen’s Toronto FC were off this week and will continue their season at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. to take on the New York Red Bulls. The MLS Multiplex forgot to tell you in the last Power Rankings the date for that match: it’s June 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and will be televised by Sportsnet One.

8. New York Red Bulls

Mike Petke’s New York Red Bulls take a massive dive after crashing out of the U.S. Open Cup following a 3-0 shutout defeat by the New York Cosmos at Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y. Oh yes, and the understrength Red Bulls played down to 10 men late. The Red Bulls will look to rectify things when they face Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena on June 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and will be televised by MLS LIVE.

9. Columbus Crew

Gregg Berhalter’s Columbus Crew were off this week and are back in action on June 17 against Indy Eleven of the NASL in the U.S. Open Cup at FirstEnergy Stadium-Cub Cadet Field in Akron, Ohio. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by TheCrew.com.

10. Colorado Rapids

Pablo Mastroeni’s Colorado Rapids were off this week and will be back in action on June 17 against future MLS side Orlando City in the U.S. Open Cup at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT/9 p.m. ET.
