Jeff Fisher was brought into St. Louis to take a pretty good football team to the next level. He has yet to accomplish that. The main reason behind that has been the play and/or injuries of quarterback Sam Bradford. The team managed 7 wins last year in spite of losing Bradford to an ACL tear. Seven or even eight wins isn’t going to be good enough anytime soon, especially in the division the Rams are in.

The team is still depending on Bradford playing up to the expectations of being the top draft pick of 2010. Because of Bradford’s contract, free agency acquisitions aren’t really an option for the team to help in the area of improvement. Luckily, the team had a whopping 12 draft picks in 2014.

The Rams are going to need some quick returns on their draft pick investments if they’re going to become a contender in one of, if not the most competitive division in the NFL.
