Julio Jones was on pace for a pretty impressive 2013 with 582 yards in the first five games when he suffered a season-ending foot injury. The Atlanta Falcons gave up a whopping 5 draft picks to move up and grab Julio Jones with the sixth pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He’s going to need to not only return to form from his injury, but also turn it up a notch to justify the ransom the team gave up to draft him.

The Falcons, like some other teams, are glad to have 2013 behind them as they were bitten hard by the injury bug. Now, with Tony Gonzalez retired, Jones has the opportunity to set himself apart as one of the top receivers in the league. At this point, it’s still just projecting to put him up in that category. His best year so far was 2012 where he totaled 1,198 yards on 79 catches, not quite the top 10 in receiving in the league.
