The Cleveland Cavaliers had reportedly given up their pursuit of signing LeBron James a few days ago, but that fire has seemingly been lit again as according to Joe Lull of 92.3 The Fan (a CBS Cleveland station), the Cavaliers head honcho is currently flying to South Florida.

Why you ask? Well, it doesn’t sound like anybody knows. It’s completely possible that Gilbert could be heading to South Beach for a vacation, or maybe it’s something more. Could it be a meeting with LeBron James? At this point it’s complete speculation and there have been no suggestions that Gilbert is meeting with LeBron James.

In fact, Gilbert himself denies such was taking place as he tweeted out that he was enjoying life in his back yard during this 4th of July holiday weekend.

So no flight, right? Well, that seems to be the case but maybe Gilbert’s simply attempting to deflect media attention as Joe Lull has a pretty accurate reporting history. Simply put, to put all rumors to rest, all Dan Gilbert needs to do is to take photo of himself with some type of publication (newspaper) that states today’s date. Simple as that. Then the rumors are put to bed.

Hopefully he’ll go the extra mile and make sure it’s in Comic Sans font.

As for LeBron James, he was recently in Gilbert’s neck of the woods as he and wife Savannah spent a few weeks in Akron, however the two returned to Miami recently as can be seen on James’ Instagram page.
