4. Bosh fits in perfectly with the Rockets:

A guy like Bosh who wants to compete and isn’t all about the money shouldn’t be swayed solely by a max contract offer, however. Bosh’s preference is still playing with LeBron in Miami, but if he had to leave the Heat for any team in the NBA, the Houston Rockets actually make a lot of sense basketball-wise.

With the Rockets, Bosh would play a similar role to the one he played in Miami as the stretch-4 who could spread opposing defenses because of his touch from the perimeter. Bosh added a three-point shot to his arsenal last season and although it’s still a work in progress, he nearly made as many threes in the playoffs as Ray Allen. Terrence Jones is a nice, young power forward, but the Rockets have been looking to upgrade that position with Carmelo Anthony or Bosh for awhile now.

Bosh’s presence on the perimeter would open things up for Dwight Howard in the paint, and when teams focus their attention on double-teaming him down low, it’d be all to easy for D12 to find one of his four open shooters on the outside or cutters heading to the basket. Bosh would get to play with James Harden, one of the league’s most talented scorers and creators on offense and he wouldn’t have to worry about banging in the paint with the bigs because of Howard. Bosh is no longer an interior player, so joining a roster like Houston’s would be a perfect fit for both parties.
