A report from last week indicated that as much as half the league is scouting the Rays and Price and among those teams are the Milwaukee Brewers.
According to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, the Milwaukee Brewers are in on the David Price sweepstakes as they’ve promptly put their foot in the trade waters.
"The Brewers are among the teams to express interest in Price, according to major league sources. Their inquiry was akin to putting their “foot in the water,” one source said."
This isn’t the first time in recent history that the Brewers have gotten in on a big name pitcher on the trade market as a few years ago they got in on the Zach Greinke trade rumors and ended up acquiring him from the Kansas City Royals. They even grabbed C.C. Sabathia from the Cleveland Indians a few years ago too, so to discount the Brewers from David Price trade talks woe to ignore a dark horse candidate who could en up landing him before the deadline.
