No. 9: Oakland Raiders

Before you Oakland Raiders fans take to the comments to tell me what a clueless moron I am, hear me out. While I’m on record of not being a fan of the Matt Schaub singing, my picking them as the least likely team to go from worst to first has less to do with them than it does the Denver Broncos.

While I don’t think Oakland will be a playoff team this season, I do think their overall roster talent has been upgraded. The problem is that they are in a division with one of the elite teams in the NFL. As long as Peyton Manning is healthy the Broncos simply have too much fire power for a rebuilding Oakland team to deal with. When you add in that both Kansas City and San Diego will be pretty good as well, it appears that even an improved Oakland squad will have little to no chance of going from worst to first this season.
