No. 8: Minnesota Vikings

I’m actually a fan of where the Vikings are headed. I loved the Mike Zimmer hire, I loved the Teddy Bridgewater draft pick, and I think the duo of Cordarrelle Patterson and Adrian Peterson has a chance to be one of the best WR/RB pairings that the NFL has seen in a while.

That having been said, I don’t see them making the jump into playoff contention yet this season. With Green Bay and Chicago looking like strong playoff caliber teams and Detroit boasting an elite offense the NFC North will be a tough division to conquer. While I think the Vikings would be wise to let Bridgewater play this season, a rookie QB isn’t likely to beat out Aaron Rodgers. That’s what it would take for the Vikings to go from worst to first.
