But: This team has to learn to consistently beat the big elephant in the room. And for the Bears, the Green Bay Packers have been more like a woolly mammoth.

Let’s just go back to the last five seasons. Including their home loss to the Pack in the 2010 NFC title game, Chicago is 2-9 in its last 11 meetings with its longtime rival. To make matters even worse, the Bears are a dismal 1-5 vs. Green Bay at Soldier Field over that span and have lost four straight home meetings with the reigning NFC North champions. That includes a stinging 33-28 setback this past season in Week 17 which gave the Packers the division title and the Bears a sudden start to their offseason.

Chicago has not swept the season series from the Packers since 2007. Now would be a good time if they want to end Green Bay’s three-year run as division champions.
