NFL Training Camp: 10 storylines to watch for in preseason
Will DeSean Jackson make the Eagles regret releasing him?
The decision by the Philadelphia Eagles to release DeSean Jackson came as a huge shock this offseason. The big=play threat had some character concerns, but few expected the Eagles to release him after a career-year.
Jackson is at a career crossroads, not that he is in jeopardy of being out of the league after signing a three-year deal with Washington, but he needs to prove he can be a professional in every sense of the word.
No one will question Jackson’s talent on the field, but many will question his dedication and attitude, which rubbed Chip Kelly the wrong way and paved his exit out of Philadelphia.
Will he replicate the 82 receptions he had for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns he had last year in the first year in Jay Gruden’s offense with a healthy Robert Griffin III under center?
With a chip on the shoulder of Jackson, I’m betting on Jackson to produce numbers similar to last year and can’t wait to see him play his former team.
