Brandon Marshall told NFL Network’s Michael Irvin on in early August that Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will be with this year’s MVP.

"“He’s the first one in the building, last one to leave now, his leadership is through the roof,” Marshall said on Wednesday’s edition of Inside Training Camp Live. “He’s correcting the coaches. This is his offense. This is his organization, he’s running it, and I love it.”"

The second year in the system of Bears head coach Marc Trestman, who holds the nickname of the quarterback whisperer, should produce numbers better than the near-270 yards per game the Bears passed for last year.

Furthermore, and the continued development of third-year receiver, Alshon Jeffery opposite Marshall gives the Bears arguably the top receiver duo in the NFL.

Cutler’s biggest impediment to winning an MVP this year is his health. He missed 13 games over the past four seasons, including five last year and only played a full 16-game schedule once as a member of the Bears.

If Cutler can stay healthy and play all 16 games this year and lead the Bears to an NFC North title and win 12 wins, he could enter the conversation and make things interesting.
