Arizona Cardinals John Brown

Who?

#1 I live in Arizona.

#2 I am not a Cardinals fan.

The relatively unknown Brown has been the talk of the Redbirds training camp.

In an interview with Robert Mays of Grantland, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said “I haven’t seen a rookie come in and do what he’s done — and it’s still early — since Anquan Boldin.”

In Boldin’s rookie year he put up 101 catches for 1,377 yards with eight touchdowns. I don’t see Brown reaching that volume, but high impact on games with big plays is a strong possibility.

Brown played his ball at Pittsburgh State, a Division II school.

Here’s a look at him in college:

The Cardinals can lineup with Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, Ted Ginn Jr., Brown and Andre Ellington on the field in some fashion or combinations.

Carson Palmer isn’t an elite level talent anymore, but he’s a capable quarterback.

Arizona probably has the most overlooked offense in the NFL right now. There will be points to be had and Brown has a good chance to be apart of the group that helps them do it.
