Worst: Jake Matthews, RT, Atlanta Falcons

Jake Matthew’s preseason debut was struggle city for the Atlanta Falcons.

Maybe it’s the pressure of being the son of a Hall of Famer, but Matthews’ debut against the Miami Dolphins was everything short of spectacular.

The former Texas A&M tackle had two holding penalties go against him during his two series against the ‘Fins, one of those penalties wiping away a lengthy 76-yard TD run by Antone Smith.

While Matthews was able to keep Cameron Wake in check, the biggest issue with his play was his inability to generate a push or open up a hole in the running game, which is something that could be a huge flaw for Matthews and the Falcon’s offense.
