On Thursday night, Philadelphia takes on the team from Chicago, Illinois in the U.S. semifinal, with the winner advancing to face off against Las Vegas on Saturday in the U.S. Championship.
With the big game today, Philadelphia Phillies star Ryan Howard stopped by Williamsport, Pennsylvania to visit with the kids.
Howard’s visit was with SUBWAY as part of SUBWAY Restaurants Little League Throwback Thursday social media campaign, which encouraged social media users to post photos of themselves from their Little League days for #ThrowbackThursday.
Each post resulted in a $1 donation from SUBWAY to support the Little League Challenger Division’s (for developmentally and physically disabled players) travel expenses for their game in Williamsport.
