Little League World Series results: Illinois claims United States Championship with 7-5 win over Nevada
By Jack Crosby
We are getting closer and closer to finding out who the 2014 Little League World Series Champion will be, and on Saturday, we learned who will be representing the United States against South Korea on Sunday, and it will be the boys of Jackie Robinson West in Chicago Illinois, as they defeated Nevada, 7-5.

The first all African-American team to make it to this point will now move on to face the team from South Korea on Sunday, a South Korean team who absolutely obliterated Japan in their International contest earlier in the day on Saturday.
With the score at 7-5 in the sixth inning, it looked as if Nevada was poised to make a run at a comeback, which was not all that far-fetched. However, the boys from Illinois were able to turn the amazing double play to end the game, and now they will be heading off to Sunday to try and take a Little League World Series title back home to Chicago from Williamsport.
But they have a tall order in front of them on Sunday in the form of this South Korean team that, as we saw with their demolishing of Japan on Saturday, has about as much firepower as any team we’ve seen this year at the event.
What do you think? Can the Jackie Robinson West team pull off one more win on Sunday to claim it all? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
