NFL: 2014 All-Pro Team Projection
Wide receivers and tight end
Brandon Marshall, Chicago Bears
Every season Marshall has played with Jay Cutler as his starting quarterback, he has finished the season with at least 100 receptions. With Cutler under center to begin the season for the Bears, you better expect to see Marshall hit the century mark again this season and eclipse the 1,000-yard marker with ease in a rapidly improving offense.
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
Johnson is the game’s best receiver and one of the top-five players in the entire NFL regardless of position. Coming off an 84 catch, 1,492-yard season with 12 touchdowns was a “down” season for the future Hall of Fame receiver. Look for him to thrive in new offensive coordinator, Joe Lombardi’s offense in Detroit with Matt Stafford looking his way often.
A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals
Green has been the model of consistency since the Bengals used the No. 4 overall pick on the former Georgia receiver in the 2011 NFL Draft, finishing with career-highs in receptions with 98 and yards with 1,426 and tying his career-high with 11 touchdowns. I expect Green to have his first season with more than 100 receptions this year and to set a new career-best with touchdowns.
Jimmy Graham, TE, New Orleans Saints
Graham is the standard by which all other tight ends are judged. He does not have the health risks that come with Rob Gronkowski and plays in an offense in New Orleans that accentuates his skills as Drew Brees feeds him the ball often. Graham is coming off a season that saw him score a career-high 16 touchdowns.
