Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos

When: Sunday, Sept. 7
Time: 8:30 pm
TV Broadcast: NBC

NBC’s second offering of the week is a classic game. The Broncos, who many have picked to return to the Super Bowl this year, taking on Peyton Manning’s former team (and another with high aspirations for the season) the Colts.

The Colts have been getting better each season under Chuck Pagano as head coach, and with Andrew Luck under center. This could be the season that they put it all together. Beating the defending AFC champions on national television to open the season would be a statement. Andrew Luck to Hakeem Nicks should be an interesting thing to watch.

We all want to watch Peyton, just to see how many seasons the marvel of modern sports has left in the tank. One thing that has held true over Manning’s career – when he and his team get embarrassed in a game, he comes back more focused than ever. It may have been seven months ago, but the Broncos were humiliated by the Seahaws in the Super Bowl, and Manning took it personally, guaranteed.

Lots of offense, lots of pretty passes, and probably more than one re-playable interceptions.
