1. Terrance West, Cleveland Browns

West is a rookie running back that was selected with the 94th overall pick by the Browns, and came out with a bang during his debut yesterday afternoon. Starting running back Ben Tate went down with an injury, that immediately forced West to come in and have a big impact. He may not have “star” potential, but he does have the ability to play the game at a high level.

He ended up shredding the Pittsburgh defense for 100 yards on 16 carries, which ends up at an average of 6.3 yards per game. There are plenty of reasons for Browns fans to be excited about West’s future, and he already has developed the rep of being a fan favorite in Cleveland. They are still happy with Tate as their starting running back, but West made a case to be the starter even over a healthy Tate.

It was a great debut for him, despite the conditions of the playing time that he received. He showed that he was ready when his number was called, and he ran all over a defense that is trying to improve and get back to the dominance that it used to have. The Browns have a lot of young talent on their roster, and West can officially be added to that list.
