Green Bay Packers: 5 reasons it’s not time to panic
By Evan Massey
1. Aaron Rodgers is Still the Starting Quarterback
The Packers still have one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers, and he is going to win games for them. He might not be able to do it all by himself each and every week, but he is good enough to power his team into the playoffs with any kind of help from his defense. When the Packers have Rodgers under center, there is no reason to panic too early in the season.
He had a rough game against the Seahawks, but still finished the game with 189 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, he did throw an interception, but it was off of a pass that bounced off of wide receiver Jordy Nelson’s hands. Despite lack of protection, he was able to make some plays and keep his team in the game until late in the third quarter and into the fourth.
There are always ways that fans can force themselves to be worried, but this isn’t one of those situations. The Packers did lose a game, but they weren’t expected to go undefeated anyways. Is it that bad that they lost to the defending Super Bowl champions and a team that is expected to be head and shoulders over their competition each and every week, with Denver being the only team that people expect to compete with them?
