The FIBA World Cup Final is this afternoon — or this evening if you’re going by local time in Spain — and one of the teams there is a team that wasn’t supposed to be but has willed their way into the final.

More from FIBA World Cup

Team USA was pegged to be in the Final but it’s Serbia who seem out of place in everything. The Serbs can’t be slept on though, as they didn’t get to the World Cup Final on luck, rather they overcame a tough challenge in France during the semifinals that has put Team USA on notice.

Serbia’s roster has a few NBA talents on it, but the general lack of big names is what has made their ride to the World Cup Final a Cinderella type story. They may not win on Sunday but counting them out like everyone they’ve played before now is clearly a foolish thing to do.
