The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-0 and one of the best teams in the NFL at the moment. Part of what makes them so good is that they’re a stellar fourth quarter unit that just refuses to die even when all of the odds are stacked against them.

One thing the Eagles don’t have though is DeSean Jackson on their team, and just like their fans are ruthless about opposing players, so too are the players on the field. This past Sunday’s game between the eagles and Redskins was punctuated by a huge brawl that occurred on the field that resulted in numerous ejections.

DeSean Jackson wasn’t about to get involved though, and he’s being called out as a result. Linebacker Emmanuel Acho tweeted out a picture of Jackson standing on the outside of the massive fight on Sunday, looking wholly uninterested in getting involved.

We should have expected Jackson to be trolled over this but he deserves credit for not getting involved. He was apparently cut by the Eagles for having gang ties — of which no one has been able to really peg to his recent past — and his non-violent approach to the brawl should be commended.

Then again, football is a man’s sport, and throwing a full-speed, closed fist punch to the side of protective headgear is just what you do.
